A clapper is the swinging device that, xed inside the bell, enables to generate the sound by striking against the bell. It is usually manufactured in ductile iron to avoid an excessive consumption of the bell at the point of impact. It could be ordered also provided with cable seals and safety bracket in leather.

The L dimension indicated in the variants refers to the distance from the center of the bat’s pivot hole to its top end.
